Inachord Counselling & Wellness

Living in Harmony

For adults, couples and young people, with Paul Scott-Williams in Abbotsford and online. A warm, unhurried space where you set the pace.

A warm room, and someone who listens

“I like to talk, but I love to listen even more. I work at your pace, not mine.”

When you walk into the studio, I want you to feel you can speak safely and without judgement. Building trust matters more to me than following a fixed structure.

I’ve been a counsellor since 2010, after decades as a teacher, performer, conductor and arts leader. Now Inachord has my full attention, and so does the work I find most meaningful: helping people live their best lives.

How we’ll work together

Real, lasting change takes patience. It’s built on an honest, trusting relationship, so that’s where we start.

At your pace

Each session moves at the pace you need. I’m entirely comfortable sitting in silence, and I’ll gently encourage you to face the difficult things when you’re ready.

Checking in, often

“Tell me if I have understood this correctly” is one of the most important questions I ask. It keeps us on the same page, and helps you feel accurately heard, not just listened to.

Noticing the small shifts

I’ll encourage you to build simple noticing habits: jotting down a reaction handled differently, or a change in language or thought. Small moments add up to something lasting.

Lightness, when it helps

I’m not afraid of humour when the moment allows. An unexpected laugh can be exactly what a heavy moment needs.

What we can work on

I work with teenagers, adults, older adults and couples, in person in Abbotsford or online. I’m particularly committed to the LGBTIQA+ community, and have worked closely with the trans community in recent years.

Why “Inachord”?

“Inachord” means being in harmony.

All harmony, whether musical, human or natural, is created when more than one sound or energy combines with others to make something new and richer. Dissonance and consonance, tension and resolution: they reflect the way we interact as people.

Counselling is about moving through times of tension with skills and insight, knowing that in the end there is resolution.
